My name is Polina Shifrina.

I am a professional pianist, accompanist and piano teacher, born in Russia in a musical family. I give classical concerts as well as work as a piano teacher.

Surrounded by pianists and piano music since my birth, I myself started studying the piano at five years of age, with my mother as my main teacher and mentor, who was a student of Maria Eshenko and Samuel Feinberg.

I studied in the Conservatory in Vladimir (Russia) under Jouri Popov, who wast the soloist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Vladimir and Elena Melnikova.

Later I continued my studies in the Conservatory of Music "Richard-Strauss" in Munich (Germany). In those years I perfectioned under the mentoring of the concert pianist Amir Katz and gave regular concerts in the main concerts halls of Munich like Gasteig, Prinzregenten Theater and Cuvilliéstheater. 

In 2006 I moved to Berlin (Germany) where I continued my pianistic and teaching career, together with completing my studies in Physics at the Free University of Berlin.

Since 2011 I live in Exeter where I give concerts, teach piano and learn foregn languages. I can also help you with your exam preparation for ABRSM or Trinity Grade 1 - 8.

I teach in Exeter, Exwick, EX42AA.  

I speak four languages (English, Russian, German and Italian) - so you can choose the language in which you prefer to learn!
